SASSARI – It ‘s been a really strong performance by the emotions that went on stage on December 30 at the Teatro Civico in Sassari. The Shop of Dreams, an event organized by the Department of Mental Health ASL Sassari in collaboration with the Association of Theatrical Paco Mustela, this year has seen the participation Elio and Tenores Neoneli. The concert NeonElio, artistic union all strictly in limba, just born by chance in Sassari in 1992, has garnered a great enthusiasm not only among the general public but especially present among the group of artists and users of the Mental Health Centre of Sassari involved again this year in the theater workshop, under the artistic direction of the director of Sassari Pierangelo Sanna, wanted to represent the synthesis of a year of rehabilitation activities.
“The smile of patients and their happiness in having Elio known, having talked to him, is an experience you will not forget – tell the coordinators Gianni Costa, Gianfranca Nieddu and Assumption Orritos. “They felt the protagonists of the evening and we are glad to have got a dream.” Mutos, Anninnia, Amazon are some of the songs from NeonElio replicated in Sassari, a repertoire largely created thanks to the proximity of the group leader Elio e le Storie Tese with the quartet Neoneli and he even saw the revival of the song Land of the khaki in Sardinian.
‘Elio – said Tonino Cau, soul, and founder of Tenores – nell’altopiano Campeda remained impressed by seeing the trees bent by the wind and not broken, thus was born the song which later became Sa earth ‘and enthu (the land of the wind). “Songs and poems represented in the course of the evening were accompanied by launeddas players Orlando and Elisha Mascia.
