Genoa – Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, panic attacks, psychosis. The project Ithaca was born in Milan in 1999 with the goal of helping people with mental health disorders and their families, and arrived in Genoa last year. Monday 10 and Thursday, February 13th will start the two courses related to the project in Genoa. The first is devoted to the family and will take place at the association headquarters in Genoa, Via Bartolomeo Bosco. The second, dedicated to new volunteers, will instead take place in the council of the Town Hall 8 Middle East, via Mascherpa.
The volunteers are mostly former patients, patients and families. The purpose of their activities is to support the work of doctors activating projects information, prevention, support and rehabilitation aimed at people suffering from these diseases are often difficult to recognize and treat.
