MONTEFIORINO (Modena) – A place where people can find answers to the different needs of health and care services that do not require the use of the hospital, an important point of reference for the mountain area. It ‘was inaugurated yesterday the House of Health “Valli Dolo and Dragone Secchia” which is based in Montefiorino and also serves the towns of Prignano, Palagano and Frassinoro. The Case of health represent a modern solution has already been successfully tested in our province and in Emilia-Romagna, thanks to which it has expanded its range in the area and strengthens the integration between services.
Structure, as well as all the primary care services, the 118 also has a station, operated in partnership with voluntary organizations, to ensure an adequate response to the emergency-urgency on a territory of 280 square kilometers where almost 10 thousand people. The House of health thus becomes a point of reference fo r all health and social services and welfare that do not need a hospital, the emergency management-integrated urgency to take charge of chronic patients and dependents, to the promotion of health of the population through the development of healthy lifestyles.
Inside the House of Health – the fourth activated so far in the province of Modena – operate 8 General Practitioners, 4 doctors to continuity of care, 10 specialists, 5 nurses, a midwife, 2 social workers (OSS), a rehabilitation therapist, 2 administrative workers and a social worker. The structure of the USL of Modena will host, among other things, the testing of the Comply European project whose goal is to develop a technological platform to support the elderly population in medication compliance, which is responsible in adherence to a therapy which helps to keep the health and independence of patients.
Among the specialized activities are also active in a point sampling, Family Counselling Ce ntre, the Centre for Mental Health and clinics of Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Dermatology, ENT (with a new naso-pharyngo-laryngoscope fiber optic), Ophthalmology, Physical Medicine and Geriatrics. Also present Help Centre Limited for dialysis, which will shortly be equipped with a portable blood gas used at the bedside and on self-care. Among the new instruments provided there are also a dermatoscope, a lamp cards and a pulse oximeter.
