Two out of three Italians satisfied with their health: it reveals the Istat - UrbanPost

Over 70% of Italians say they are satisfied of their state of health. But things are more negative in women. Also differences between different geographical areas. This was revealed by the annual survey conducted by ISTAT.

According

Statistical Yearbook for 2013 now running out, held every year by the authoritative ISTAT , more than two thirds of Italians are satisfied with their status Health , although women are made worse of men in terms of diseases.

healthy lifestyle

This is a significant percentage (as much as 70.4% ), which, according to ISTAT, “gave a positive assessment of their state of health, responding ‘very good’ or ‘ good ‘to the question’ How is your health in general? . At the same age, however, emphasizes the Mayor, “ emerge net gender differences to the disadvantage of women,” . In this case, the percentages for women satisfied with their health status is 66.8% in front of a 74.2% all male.

The survey, in addition to putting (of course) pointed out that approaching the age groups most venerable the percentage decrease in both genders, it also provides us one geographic split of the areas where you can enjoy more healthy . Not by much, prevails North with a 71.9% and follow the Center with a 69.8% . Lagging behind the South , but with slightly lower percentage (68.8% ). Looking more specifically, the city with the best health is Bolzano (84.8%) and Trento (76.2) . The region, however, is the Lombardy with the 73.5% in favor of interviews. On the opposite side we find Basilicata and Calabria with a thin 64.1% even though the data is still positive, more than 50%. But things did not seem to promise is good for both the Center for the South. Compared with 2012, the last percentages have decreased.

Returning to the difference of health status between men and women, this negativity for the fairer sex is clear, according to the ‘National Institute of Statistics even in data on the proportion of the population suffers from at least one chronic disease, “ that the latter would see just how more victims . More generally, about 20% of the entire population said to suffer from at least two, if not more, chronic diseases . A percentage that differs markedly between the two genders from the 45 years of age.

However, it is well to remember that this is a survey on the state of health, sometimes only perceived. Not always, in fact, people are real knowledge of diseases (such as diabetes , and those linked to ‘ cardiovascular system ), of which might suffer though without significant symptoms. For this reason, it is always better to make simple and quick checks . Especially after the banquet of these holidays .
